Homeowners use Maroondoor.com to bring their Homeowner Associations online to promote awareness and community and better communicate with eachother. Real Estate Professionals use the site to help homeowners and network with other professionals. Maroondoor.com was designed to tap into existing social networks (i.e homeowner associations). We want to bring every local community online to create a true real estate hub where homeowners and real estate professionals can interact on a daily basis. Once an account is created, Homeowners can either be the first to create a Homeowner Association or joining if one already exist. The Story About two years ago I purchased a newly constructed condo in Boston, MA. It was a nightmare. The Developers were in charge of the Homeowner Association for the first year. They didn't pay the common interest bills and they pinched from the the Association Trust until it was depleted. After a year of chaos the residents took over and self managed the Association. This was no easy feat. Everything from finances to upkeep was a complete mess. Our books were in the red and the hole was getting deeper by the minute. I knew we needed to stop the bleeding somehow so I stepped forward and introduced myself to everyone by creating a simple website for our dysfunctional Homeowner Association. It was nothing fancy but served us well. Residents could use the site to inform others, ask questions and gather information.
